Wednesday | August 13, 2008 City Deer, Turkey Bow Hunting Applications Applications for Bow Hunting of Deer and Turkey on specified city properties are now available, at the Bismarck Police Department, 700 South 9th Street.
A maximum of 50 trespass permits will be available on a first come, first serve basis. The filing fee for trespass permits remains at $5.00. Licenses must be purchased from the N.D. Game and Fish Department at 100 North Bismarck Expressway.

Capital Area Transit Adds Enhancements to Service |

On August 18, 2008, the CAT, Bismarck-Mandan’s fixed route bus system will implement new enhancements and changes to some of the routes it now serves. The changes will add service to areas that now do not have coverage and does not eliminate service to areas now being covered.
Some major changes will be connections to the north side of Bismarck, via Bismarck State College and more frequent service between the cities. Currently service between the Cities occurs once every hour and a half but the new routes will create hourly service between the Cities.
There also will be service to the new Mandan Middle School, Red Trail Conoco and the Seven Seas Conference Center. Services will also be added to the Northeast area of Bismarck, including Mr. B’s Estates, and more frequent service between Kirkwood Mall and Gateway Mall from 3 PM to 7 PM.
Service to Riverside Park, including the Dakota Zoo is another major addition to the routes.
Some things to look for: A-1 & A-2 Routes, no changes, B-1 has major changes in the beginning of the route and at Wachter Avenue and University Drive. The B-2 & C-1 no changes, C-2 completely different, D-1 minor changes at Ward Road and Schaffer or Edwards Ave, and the D-2 is a new route, E-1 minor changes at K-Mart, E-2 major changes from the corner of Griffin and Rosser, M-1 and M-2 many major changes. |
